Apparently there was a piece on Talksport back in May regarding Ealing and their plans for promotion (they have built a very strong squad for this season). Anyway, it was mentioned that they have big plans for Vallis Way (although I dont think any specifics were given).

Interesting if true

A quick glance at the Neighbours of ETF and the figures being achieved in the Property Market (£875,000 for 6 Vallis Way in March this year whilst a 2 bed detached house on Avalon close was £580,000 and a 3 bed £635,000....3 Beds o Royle Cres will set you back £670,000) point to them having a snowballs chance in hell of getting planning permission for anything on that site....in the same way my old place in Brentford will go up by about £100,000 once the Bees are gone, any extensions, stands, increase in traffic at ETF will have a huge negative impact on the prices of houses in that area......and NIMBY'S will tie any development up for decades.....UNLESS they were to develop the railway side of the site......keeping any unsightly away from the Middle Classes and instead inflicting it on the Copley Cres where 3 beds will only set you back £385,000 LEASEHOLD

JESUS WEPT :WALL: HOW MANY TIMES?????
£20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000.
The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.

There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them. :BEAT:

Interesting little thing, who owes a fair number of the houses that would overlook any new stand that would be built?
Led to believe, Trailfinders actually own quite a few, so they are not going to complain.
As for permission, go digging god it’s what you do, but I believe they already have agreements in place to build at 5ge empty end of the ground, what size and capacity I don’t know

Where would they build, where would the increased number of cars park......... it really isn't suitable for expansion.

Mac out!

Digging completed....ET own 4 properties on Avalon and one on Royal......which means nothing, as it is the access road down Vallis that will cause MAJOR complaints.

Last planning consent sought and received was for an Ariel/antenna which took them 13 months after complaints from 5 neighbours....said neighbours are still in situ......and they also received a complaint at the time from the special school that borders the ground, so another potential pot-hole....but as it is, no planning consent or application has been lodged with the local council to date......
........as usual, too many people hanging their hat on the claims by Hughes when we moved in. He also claimed they were "building" A NEW GYM... when in fact they were fitting out a room that we rent with equipment from the last one......sorry, did I say "too many"...I meant the chosen few :SUBMISSION:

To be honest how many houses they own is probably a red herring anyway. What does the local plan say? Unless that is written in such a way to permit major sporting development one complaint would be an issue for the council.

The chances of them attaining planning permission for a Premiership/Superleague stadium on the face of it are negligible. I haven't read the local plan for Ealing and if someone can produce quotes proving it is land reserved for sporting development I will accept that.

A friend of mine who lives locally thinks there may be a land swop del possible as part of redevelopment / gentrification of the area beyond the cricket ground however that is very much a think and not factual.
