Exactly. Why would we want a strapping mid 20 year old British 2nd rower when we have jjb ablett ferres Delaney and walters.

Maybe he was on that in the NRL and has had to take a pay cut to come here. Be it 100 or 120 or even 170 i bet the combined salary of Delaney and JJB won't be too far off. Galloway would more than likely be on what Greenwood is paid. But it's all done with now and maybe a better signing is just around the corner.

When GH plans things properly he generally does a good job in terms of signings. Myler, Dwyer and Peteru looked to be the right players for this season, and the most important one, Myler, looks the part. Dwyer's been a bit disappointing but IMO its up to him to do better, and Peteru's just bad luck so far.
I'll keep saying it though, some of the problems we have currently are because changes weren't made earlier. Following the 2016 debacle the only new net addition was Ormondroyd (Parcell replaced Segeyaro, so wouldn't have signed otherwise). IMO we could and should have added at least one new forward in 2017, and started the process of rejuvenating the back row. Even before that, none of the 'big' 2016 signings panned out that well - Galloway was always a plodder at best, Ferres is half the player he was (except by weight) and Falloon was a predictable off-field mess, being part of the Gold Coast party clique.
Whilst Ferres, Galloway and Peteru were a bit unlucky, most of the rest of the signings were sadly predictable in their results, and until this year no real sign of a plan.

He played the majority of last season, also scored their try of the year. New coach binned him off wanting local players in the team. I'm not a Wigan fan but looking forward to seeing him back in SL
