It could have been once but due to lies and corruption that boat has long since sailed. Apparently on current estimates it would now cost us 8 million just to buy the land back. Funny isn't it that just three years ago BV was valued at just over a million quid and now its worth 8 times that - corruption its that simple.

I doubt the land values are down to corruption because it was the bank who sold it. I would think you would be happy it is a sign that Wakefield is considered a good place to live if prices have increased 8 fold.

Please accept my apologies for suggesting you could be happy about something positive in relation to this city, especially which could have anything to do with how the council have developed and run Wakefield

Quisling, I am sure a person with your well known warm and friendly demeanour doesn’t mean it, because it’s definition in no way relates to anything to do with this forum or what I posted.
I don’t remember collaborating with anyone or any group nor have I said anything that could be considered traitorous. I suppose in the mind of a control freak whose demands total loyalty from all and can not take dissent without resorting to insults I could be.
I suppose you could become a moderator and then a dictator squashing all those who do not think the way you do and insult the rest. I suppose you could be related to Donald Trump, do you have orange skin and questionable hair. I now know why you have picked Sheldon as your avatar and I suppose you could be a bazinga

I must admit I have to agree with a lot of posts on here about the fickleness of fans and the switching of allegiances with the fluctuations of the individual clubs fortunes. Hell fire I even agree wit Vasty.
My own experience that was from age 11 to 15 I watched any rugby league game I could get to be it Wakey, Cas, or Fev and thats where all my paper round money went. I didn't have a favourite but Wakey were top dogs at the time and they were probably the first team I could name from 1 to 13. Looking back there were very few club colours and i didn't have any and never gave a thought to where I would stand when I got to a ground. I can't even remember taking much notice of the appearance of grounds I visited and I doubt if youngsters today do. It came to a head as I left school and started playing myself so had less time to watch games. The Hardisty Hepworth era had just started and with only enough time?funds to watch one game a week it became Cas and thats how its stayed We can debate forever how to get more people to games but despite all the defections I bet most of you on here have always been Trin fans. Throw money at getting kids down and give them a great first experience (not always possible with weather, etc). Cas do a debutants scheme where kids attending for the first time among other things get to meet all the players and are given a tour before being announced to the growd and doing a walking lap of honour and receiving applause before the game.
All I'm trying to say is concentrate efforts into getting kids to Belle Vue, giving them a great experience and hope 50% become fans for life
