Decent stadium it's that simple. Sure BV is good enough for most existing fans but new ones take some convincing. it's not that the stadium itself attract, it's that a good stadium allows you to capitalise and we just can't do that.
To put it another way BV only really attracts Trinity fans and hardcore opposition fans, what it doesn't do is attract people who just like to attend events if that makes sense.
My wife doesn't like RL or sport in general but she will go with me to watch a test match because she enjoys the spectacle. The only time BV ever looks remotely like a spectacle is the odd night match with a big crowd and even that is quickly exposed as a mirage.
Same applies to kids and interested newbies, they need more than just the RL on the pitch to attract them at the start, enjoying the game for what it truly is tends to takes time. I mean do you think Chelsea or Man U would wow people if their grounds were in a similar state of decay to BV?
Finally a bit of real success wouldn't go a miss, 1979 was the last major trophy we contested, so it's been a while. Even despite your own clubs frightening ups and downs you've been to Wembley a few times yourself since then which I think says it all.
