easier said than done........ad without one of our stars who was apparently endearing himself to the wolfpack fans after the game....Jarrod Sammutt apparently made a big effort to meet with a young first time fan and to ingratiate himself with their fan-base.....or am I truly just a cynic?
JESUS WEPT HOW MANY TIMES????? £20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000. The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.
There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them.

it's impossible under the current structure......

CMG, your not alone there. The miserable cynical sod that I am, I also noticed about Sammut. Plus the fact that a few weeks ago he tweeted about "some exciting chit chat going on behind the scenes" . Someone asked if about Broncos but he said it was family and next year. I wondered if it involved a move acorss the pond!!!!
Jarrod Sammut is one of the nicest guys in the game. He's always got time for anyone and everyone who wants a chat, even after defeat.
Besides, I really don't think Toronto are interested in a guy who, with the best will in the world, is 31 years old and a Championship standard scrum half. They've got their eyes on much bigger fish.
Although it took me a while to be convinced by Sammut he's been consistently our best performer this past season and a half - so if he's leaving then I'd be sorry but I'd thank him for some great performances for us.

It would seem I have been harsh on the guy and his motives and for that I apologise.....it just sounded very contrived but as I said, cynicism and old age are a "horse and carriage".......
....we didn't play too badly BTW.......we were just undone by a more aggressive and street savvy side......and I LOVE to 2004/5 retro away shirt!

Anyhow, next 3 games we should get 6 from 6 points. Leigh have got a difficult 3 games away to Toronto and Toulouse and Dewsbury, be interesting to see how they fair. I reckon 2 wins from 3. Fax and Fev have a pretty easy 3 games apart from both of em playing Barrow who could trouble em maybe. Let’s see what happens
I've got Fax dropping out of the race without their two halves. Toronto, Toulouse and Fev 1-3. London and Leigh both on 30pts, and 4th place being decided on points difference.
