Is it Toulouse v Leigh next weekend?
Hopefully that's Leigh dropping two points.

Derek Beaumont was on back chat a few weeks back and said they had projected financially to make the top 4 with the money that comes with it. Failure to make it would be beyond his financial clout and he would give the club away. The issue being they have spent 'big' and have players tied in to 2 year contracts.

I doubt very much it would be the end for them though, they have a fair bit of history, and one season does not make a club.
Hope the trip to Toulouse is a bit much for leigh

Re Leigh, the two bits of info I read elsewhere were a)Along the lines of Beaumont had told fans on one of the away coaches that he would keep them going if needed. b) They have 2 players so far, one a big name forward ready to join once they make the 8s. Could all be rubbish of course, who knows. I wonder if we might do the same and bring a couple in ??

To be honest I hear where you are coming from on the whole, but to write off our season and the 8s at this stage is premature. We win all our games and we are in the 8s. Our destiny is in our own hands.

That said, our troops look a bit jaded and depleted and an injection of a player or two, even on loan might spark things up. Hellewell must be back soon and he will do a better job in the centres, an area we always lack in. For me, back up hooker, string second row / centre.

That was part of my sulky rant tbh, our squad is lacking in some important areas. We lost WB and AA. That money must have been accounted for so why did we not invest it back into the squad and replace them?? If we are serious about SL then we need to show that with the squad. If we do make the 8s, teams around us are and will strengthen. We are already behind some of those sides as we stand so that will put us further back. A couple of Loan/DR right now could give us a bit of a boost and allow some of the players a much needed rest.

We have travelled out to Toronto and played a team of ex SL players whilst suffering jet lag. We dont have Toulouse when we arrive back with jet lag so we should put up a decent fight in our home game. Every team in the championship will have to play two jet lag games apart from Toronto. They have had the easiest ride of all teams as they dont have to come backwards and forwards across the pond to play their games at the end of the season. Uhm coming to think of it they didn't have to do it at the beginning of the season either. Forget Toronto, as the easy time they have received from the RFL ie playing venue, jet lagging every other team and is there such a thing as salary cap showed they were going to make them go into SL come hell or high water. Just dont give up on us yet all the other teams still have to cross the pond

Simple enough to get promoted, win the league next season, sorted.

Will.it work like that for the one up, or will it be top 4 semi then final, or a shoot out between the top 2??
