Out of interest who else would you have played at loose forward other than SOL? Think it's true he is passed his best now but he was the best option for a few years. I'd play Sam Burgess there now, possibly from the domestic based players Milner might get a look in

A few years ago NZ played Isaac John (remember him) in the 2014 Anzac Test despite only filling in for his club when Soward and Wallace were injured. If they were able to do this and actually give him some time on the field, I don't see how it's not the perfect time for us to replicate.
Having said that repeating what a few have already said, Tom will get his chance.

If I understand you correctly then that is without doubt one of the more ridiculous statements posted on here and that's saying something!
It is NOT and NEVER should be CC 's job to push TJ's international career, end of. His job is to look after the interests of WTRLFC on the field and if he doesn't think picking TJ is right for whatever reason then so be it, that's what he's paid for, he isn't paid to be TJ's second agent.
I've championed TJ from the start and I feel he's unlucky and will always suffer from 'shirt syndrome' but again that is not Chester's problem or his fault.
If he doesn't make it into the England squad for this game, I really don't think he'll ever pull on an England shirt as long as he wears a Wakefield one. His form this season has been above Makinson, McGillvary, and Hall. He's made fewer errors, given away less penalties, missed fewer tackles, made a greater average gain and scored more tries

Johnstone has 8 years on both Hall and McGillvary. That is a ludicrous statement.

Funnily enough Ben Jones Bishop beats TJ on most of those stats this year. Why is no one championing him for the game?
