I have just been talking with my wife and son, about old stands that used to be at Belle Vue, in particular the West Terrace and South Stand, where the Benidorm flats are now.
Does anyone have any pictures of these stands. I am just old enough to recall the west terrace but not South Stand.
Think I've seen photo's of them on here before, deffo the west stand which always looked magnificent to me as a kid. Never got chance to go in it though.

Thanks
As a youngster I used to stand in the south stand.

The old west stand was pulled down around 1988 as I recall. the players' changing rooms were underneath the stand as was the bar. at half time you used to have to wade through pools of spilt Beverley's ale to get up to the bar. There was also a tunnel under the stand to allow spectators to move from one end of the ground to the other. it used to take about 10 minutes to push through due to the crowds. at the time the west stand was demolished I worked for Wakefield MDC and I obtained a section of the timber valance from the front of the roof as a souvenir. I took it back to the office and got a rollicking off my boss because the whole stand was riddled with woodworm.
The west stand featured a bar underneath it and a tunnel running through it. It’s fate was sealed with the increased health and safety requirements following the Bradford fire. The south stand was all terracing but was pulled down I think when it was suggested to move the pitch 25 yards south to make way for a supermarket

If present supporters think that they can raise a deafening roar in the north stand, then they should have been in the south stand. I can't describe what it was like especially in full voice against the Aussies
