Its pointless raking over old ground and arguing about whether Kelly or Joel was worse. Neither were the crime of the century, just drunken bellendery. Both will have regreted it and Im sure none of the "victims" will be too mentally scarred.
I dont think Joel has been anything more than average since he returned from Union. Saying that Hull fans would hail it as a great signing just isnt true, most would be disappointed. However, he brings some much needed size and aggression to the Rovers pack, and if you are lucky this recent episode will give him a point to prove. In your situation I dont think its a bad signing at all.

It’s all very well saying that when you support a team that sometimes wins. I watched some of Joel’s video before we were rumoured to be signing him. It was worse than Kelly’s based on what I saw and I doubt the bit I skipped made it any better. At least he’s shown some contrition publically, fwiw.

Broadly agree with that. However, I do think the acceptance of drunken bellendery as just one of those things when ‘self-medicating’ at home with cocaine is beyond the pale is a bit odd. But those are the rules/laws/societal norms.
Tomkins might not be what he was before his sabbatical in the 15-a-side code, but as you note he’s likely to improve us.

Your penchant for the macabre is hilarious, your earlier in the season snivelling round the Leeds forum looking for friends after our controversial defeat, was akin to Cleopatra and her asp, now that’s poison.
Take it like a man, you can dish it out, but tha can’t take it.
Like it or not the once superb Joel Tomkins has been average since his return from yawnion, but he’s now your best forward by a country mile, good signing, now hit your little red button.

Edit, MR. I tend to have a natter with other fans if iv watched a game sorry if that offends you? Big difference is I don't post on your board unlike yourself or Addled. Can't say iv noticed you in the past but it's flattering you've remembered posts I made. I stand by my post, every post Addled makes is negative and bitchy about The Rovers. Let's be straight I dislike FC as a whole ie fans and team yet was pleased for mates when Cardiff win. Less so last 2 wins but still to a degree.its generally constant trolling on here by FC fans and reminds me of the general perception of Hull fans(That I know) in that they say "you should support the local team when they aren't playing your lot" But proceed to take pleasure when KR lose and actively support any opponent of ours, Same as no criticsm is allowed on your team with out hissyfits. I'd ban the lot of you off here

'I condemn the 'crimes' that Tomkins committed in the video, some of the language was downright vile and his actions cannot and never will be condoned.' 'Yes he's been beyond foolish, bringing shame on himself...' True, but c'mon! 'I won't compare this incident to Albert Kelly's saga across the river...' Least surprising journalistic/editorial decision ever!
