JESUS WEPT HOW MANY TIMES????? £20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000. The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.
There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them.
Back to that argument of is it investment with a return expected or is it him paying the bills. In our game those folk that put money into clubs like DH never realistically expects to get that money back, just because DH puts say 1 mil into the club does not increase the value of the club by 1 mil. I know some disagree, but no way is DH expecting to get even a fraction back on what he has spent. As for marwan what’s he going to do next year when Salford still are not financially stable? It’s really hard to get money from somewhere that has no money.

In the last published accounts (for year ending 30-Nov-16) Broncos had over £19M of non interest bearing long term loans. £17M provided by Hughes and £2M by Lenegan. With a turnover of £400K and loss of £2M in that year I don't see any prospect of the Broncos becoming self financing (which is the condition of Koukash writing off the Salford debt).
Buzza back to same discussion, that has nothing to do with the value of the club. And does anyone seriously think DH expects to get that investment back! Marwan has the same issue, what’s he going to do if salford are not where he has stated in the time scale stated? You can’t get money out of someone who does not have it.

when approached in 2017 by interested parties, the debt owed to both Lenegan and Hughes was cited in early discussions.....it may not be expected to be settled but it is a VERY REAL barrier to the club getting a new owner.."determined to keep control" is an expression that was used to describe the stance of Mr Hughes.....

Obviously those loans are not going to be repaid. But the growing size of them shows how far the club has to go to be anything other than a rich man's plaything.

To survive and compete in the championship we would need 3,500 to 4,000 average gates.......given we moved to a ground with a capacity of less than 3k is points to the ambitions of the clubs owner.
