Yeaman and Ellis are more of a grey area, but they are paid to be a conditioner and manager respectively. Those salaries have nothing to do with them playing. They might even be playing for nothing. I don't know what the arrangement is.
Always thought that their non playing salary would then count on the cap. Eg if Ellis earned £50,000 a year as head of rugby or whatever it is then that would then count.

That is how I understand it too, the full wage counts on the cap regardless of it being a player wage, as otherwise clubs would give all their players a side-job and cheat the cap. Like how some clubs allegedly had players wives as very well paid shop staff years ago.

I don't honestly know what the rule is, but I very much doubt that's the case. I will see if I can see anything in the operating rules.
Just had a skim through. There is a brief and fairly vague paragraph about it which essentially says it is at the discretion of the RFL and they will determine what the players salary cap value would be. It isn't just their wage straight up going on cap.
