If Connor is as good as we say he is (and the amount of MOM performance at half back does tell a lot), Sneyd may struggle to get back in the team.
Connor and Kelly are our most talented players but neither are an organising scrum half witb a controlling kicking game.

I don't agree, we will miss him, but Sneyd's field kicking hasn't been great this year, we will miss his organisation and game management for sure, as you could see against Cas, but Connor was on his own in that game.
With Kelly and Connor we can still have a good season, but we will have adapt slightly.

It will be interesting to see how Conner goes, specifically his short kicking game (bombs close to the opposition line and grubbers). He has a 40/20 in him and his goal kicking % is actually better than Sneyds.
I Actually think Sneyd has already upped his game this season and is approaching the line more than he did in previous seasons, so the injury is a real set back for both player and club.
Actually it might mean we have to focus more on passing the ball and being a bit more skilled/inventive in the red zone and last tackle plays, I wouldn't say that is entirely a bad thing tbh. His place kicking has being distinctly average this year by comparison but yes he has other kicking attributes that we will miss if whoever is used can't replicate similar.
What it does mean however is that we have one fewer option in the backs as the player covering will need to be used in the halves, and please, after someone mentioned Washbrook/Westerman I hope to the gods that is never, ever a route we go down again.

I do think that we lack the fluidity of some of the other teams with our lateral ball movement. How many times this season have we seen the ball moved out wide only to have opposition defenders ready and waiting to shut us down. I think this is partly why Shaul runs into a dead end so often when joining the line.
