League express has us linked with the young Warrington forward George king who is still only 23 ,made 82 appearances for the wires .Worth a punt if the price is right ? We’ll find out in due course no doubt .
It's a tough one if it is him. I like Arona. He makes me laugh, always last on and off after warm up, walks in reverse gear! Very committed to the cause once the whistle goes. Obviously we have no idea what he earns but obviously this is in the air as I believe his contract is up for renewal. Wages, flights, accommodation and ancillary overheads or an English player where the net cost may be lower freeing more salary cap money, it would be a difficult decision as we have a very settled team.

It does look from the outside that we don't appear to be in a rush to re sign him.
Regarding re signing Arona. Its all balancing the books, would you have Arona and another cheaper english player, or a top quality halfback and G King (as an example)?
I like Arona personally, but he isn't irreplaceable. The team is a sum of its parts, not any one individual.

I don't know what Arona is on but I would probably guess you wouldn't get a 'top quality half back' for what he's on. I like Arona, he gives his everything and obviously has affection for the club. I'd give him another shot.

I don't think it is the amount TA is on that is the problem, I think that it is the amount that he would like to be on that is the key.
Personally I think Arona is a real unsung hero within our team, And I would be disappointed to see him leave. But on the other hand balancing the books must be a nightmare too. What we need is for the crowd averages to increase on a regular basis. I feel this is a double edged sword as without the consistency on the playing field the stay away fans won’t return. I’ve watched this team through thick and thin over the years and never wavered, but I catch up with old fans who have lost interest in us. What better way to get some of those fans back than to have a good cup run and push on up the table.
