Pot and kettle. This is a Hull thing this inability to admit you were wrong. Hull key Kear go when they shouldn’t have because of a dip so did KR with Chester both replaced with no better at the time.

It’s impossible to know if either would have turned it round but it’s equally as impossible to say they wouldn’t especially in Keats case. What is certain is both went on to do far better than those who replaced them long term.

All clubs do it but both sets of Hull fans seem intent on deriding these two in particular rather than admit they may have been hasty.

I presume therefore you are from Hull? How did you end up supporting wakefield?

I admire the way Chester handled his departure, and I’m glad he seems to learned from mistakes made at Rovers and enjoyed relative success at Wakefield. However, the mess he made (along with others) in 2016 was beyond his ability to fix. It just wasn’t realistic to expect him to do a job in the face of the ongoing anger and frustration he’d have faced.

At least Webster was given space by fans because it wasn’t his mess. Not that it helped, ultimately. Sheens got us promoted again, and our travails now seem more a natural consequence of our situation than the clusterboobery of 2016.

I think you will find Wakefield are now a very well run club under Michael Carter, he is no sugar daddy but runs a tight ship living in its means. Its a good business model and slowly the club is building. Just the facity farce with the LA and proposed developers holding the club from moving to the next level!

I can't argue with the general theme of this thread but as fans we overreact to big defeats and also wins. Salford away and yesterday it was the manner of it rather than the score for me.But Salford Hudds Cats Widnes have also took a fair few batterings even Cas and Wakey have had blips. Im sick of hearing of injuries but they can't be ignored plus the 2 Leeds games Cats away and derby were very winnable if we had the brains .We also seem to be a bit unfortunate in that we play teams either in form or getting star players back? Lots of it's and buts but we need results on pitch to get everyone on same page .Even at full strength top 8 would be decent top 6 was always unattainable? We need to win our home games firstly. It covers a lot of cracks like yeamsterdays games. Salford and Wid have turned over big teams at home.that is the difference,we havent

‘in’ btw.

This, of course, was back when Kath Hetherington and James Rule were still en vogue among Hull fans.

Kudos for singing the same song so consistently. However, I think we have to consider your motivations when evaluating your analysis.

As much as you may dislike Hull .F.C. no need to stick the knife in. If you had mentioned Agar I would have sent the Boys round to have a word with you.

Spineless performance that has absolutely nowt to do with our Chairman, or indeed any other clubs chairmen.

Funny thing is despite the strange team selections we probably shaded the first half (Lee doesn't fall of the tackle for there 3rd try we could have at least been level at ht ). But the way we started the 2nd left us way to much to do, and we just didn't look bothered. Wakefield didn't have to do a lot for there tries or defence, but most were long range and could have been stopped. And the only time we spread the ball Moss scores a well finished try (he really should have started).
But they showed us what we need to do to improve, a couple of big forwards and pace, which we have neither which is why we're struggling.

This season was always about just trying to stay in this division. And then improving year on year. We are starting to do that by signing up our better young players. If we can stay up maybe we can attract the better players. And that needs to be players with pace and size. But we do need a big overhaul in my opinion, otherwise even if we stay up we'll be back in the same position next year.

Hull KR the pride of East Hull.
