Another 2 points nearer to avoiding them again, which is excellent. There'll be some movement in the bottom 6 or so in the next couple of rounds I reckon as they mainly play each other so some will start to pick up points.
Tomorrow Wakefield v Rovers
Magic weekend Widnes v Saints Salford v Catalans Wakefield v Huddersfield Hull v Hull KR
Following week Salford v Huddersfield Widnes v Wakefield Catalans v Leeds Hull KR v Wigan
I think Widnes have just run out of numbers so can't see them escaping the Middle 8s.

We're good. Enjoy the moment and stop playing devils advocate.

We were very good today. This is about the Middle 8s, and the likeliest candidates to participate in them. Interestingly Leigh are 5th in the Championship so may not make it.

I think the Middle 8s is fascinating this year personally. Perhaps less so from a SL perspective as the teams looking most likely to be involved currently are pretty much as expected albeit a couple of key rounds coming up. The Championship top 4 though currently has 3 expansion teams in it. Interesting times.
It'll be very interesting to see if Catalans can pick back up with a better half-back. Salford seem a bit of a yoyo. Sometimes good, sometimes poor. A bit like Wakefield. Huddersfield may also come good yet with a good coach.
The main thing that strikes me though is the gap between the top six and the bottom six this year. It's becoming very obvious who the haves and have nots are at the moment.
salford are OK with lui in but is he still injured? Of the rest, widnes aren't a bad side but have masses of injuries all the time, hudds are poor but have a new coach so could pick up. rovers aren't a bad side and if they can keep their key players fit (which they haven't been able to) may be in with a shout of 8th place whilst les cats continue to massively underperform given their squad. I think the only 2 at risk of relegation are hudds and widnes personally but it remains to be seen how well toronto and toulouse go in the middle 8's. Wouldn't be surprised if no one lost their SL status this year
