its amazing how the council seem to manage to dodge the issue of a community stadium, they seem to make a few random statements then shelve it. I doubt very much that voting for any party would change the plight the club and the public of wakefield have been promised. Accountability doesn't seem to play any part in the process , its a complete sham.

We know that the reality is different and with all of the "big" clubs (plus Cas) performing well, top 4 is nigh on impossible, which brings us right back to Snowies post. SL safety, decent cup run and then the biggest dream of all, A community stadium for ALL the people within the Wakefield District. Hell and freezing over spring to mind on the last one
I agree it would be nice to be up there in the top 4 and there was a bit of hope that if things go our way this season we could again be up there, but a few teams have spent heavily and others like Wigan seemed to have changed their style. Add to that we aren't playing anywhere the same attractive RL we were and it is what it is. But it's interesting going back to this seasons predictions & most Wakefield fans had us down at 6 or 7 anyway, which is still very possible if we beat the teams we should be beating.

We're half-way through the season and we're in seventh place, four points above 9th and with a better points difference, and three winnable games to come. We are exactly where we could have optimistically hoped to be. Some people need to have a long look at the table and consider our resources.
EVENTUALLY, WE'LL WIN SOMETHING, ,MAYBE, IF I'M STILL ALIVE THEN
The Labour Council In Wakefield have been living off the comfort of the voters for far too long, they know they can do what they want and the public of Wakefield will still vote them in. We have a rubbish shopping complex that was supposed to surpass The Ridings but who wants to shop in a wind tunnel? Wakefield Council are running Wakefield to the ground.
We Have a team down at belle view who I think are the best team we have had in years ,on our day we are a match for anyone, never mind salaries these boys can go toe to toe with the best .What we are lacking in is consistency ,wether that be a mental thing or a coaching thing I don’t know ,and obviously not an easy thing to correct .I don’t know the answer to this and I bet Chris has had some sleepless nights over it ,but when I see glimpses of what we can achieve as a team it’s frustrating to see us sell ourselfs short.
I think this next game is a bit of a cruncher. Obviously its not a bojomatic must win, but its one of those litmus testers. There'll be a few reaching for the diazepam if we don't take the 2.....only after they've doomed the hell out of this place first of course.
Personally I am of the opinion that there is not a councillor out there who is in it to help their community, it's all about saying whatever they think people want to hear to get themselves voted into a nice cushy little number. Do any of them ever deliver anything they promise?? I've yet to see it.
