I could not agree more. It happened to Hull v Leeds the previous week. It happened to us last night and I think, if that try had stood, we just might have seen the game change. I am baffled by this. Any other rule, the decision is supposed to only be changed from on the field try if there is compelling, obvious evidence. Yet when we come to these so called obstructions, the on field try call is utterly ignored if the slightest possibility of obstruction occurred, even if there was no chance in hell of the alleged obstructed player getting to the play, as last night with us. If there was no video there, we know full well the ref would give a try and we would all not even have noticed it. Utterly ridiculous and I am absolutely sick of this joke of a refereeing system we are seeing at the moment

I think it did have a part to play in the game as momentum was changing

the game I knew and was brought up with is nothing like now

its just one of the things that turns the everyday supporter against the game. The big screens become a bit of a joke, and needs sorting out asap.
Players appealing for the decision to go upstairs should also be put to bed.
in general the games taking a massive backward step and loosing its appeal .

Does anybody, reffs, coaches, players, supporters, governing body know what the rules are for

1 The Ruck
2 Play the Ball
3 Obstruction ( when a try is scored, it dosing seem to matter anywhere else on the field)
4 Catching the high ball
5 Players Attitudes

There are a few other vauge rules like forward passes and knock ons that need looking at.

Yes people are getting turned off by it all, the game is become sterile and farcical, it needs getting sorted sooner than latter or else the game is stuffed

Are the governing body capable of doing it ??????

The game is certainly driving fans away. Depends on the individual referee as to which rules he will concentrate on that game. No consistency within that game on the same offence. Makes players and fans very frustrated.

Wakefields roller coaster ride continues.

A lot of the rules, or their “interpretation” by referees, need looking at but the whole ruck area, when the ref calls held etc is a real mess atm. In particular - tackled players moving off the mark gets my goat. It puts defenders out of position and if a penalty is given it’s almost always against the defender for not being square or for interference. It needs sorting.

Each time I saw the "obstruction"playback on the big screen it seemed to me that it was the Cas player that deliberately moved into the path of the Trinity player. Also, why were we penalised for what was clearly a 50-50 attempt to field the high kick????
