We’ve had a few young wingers who had potential over the years. Wasn’t there a young lad called fletcher? Quite tall and quick I recall. Think he got a pre season game or two a few years ago but don’t know what happened to him.
Don’t mind Dale. He always gave his all. Chased down kicks hard. Don’t think he was quite SL standard but he gave his all, did a decent job and can’t fault him for that.
Wow .... a comedian on here whatever next. I actually rated Dale when he was at Wakey, opinions eh but to say he deserves everything he got is a bit harsh, remember, coaches can make and break careers. Nothing worse than someone saying bad things about others is there

9 tries in 27 games is 1 in 3... not good enough for a SL winger... He deserves to be in the Championship.
Whatever you say about his "strike" rate, Morton played at Trinity during a pretty difficult era for the club, maybe before your time ? and he never gave less than 100%, which is all we can ask from any player Magic Morton, nuff said.

Nope... during my time.
I appreciate it was a difficult time but regardless of that I would say the wingers have the majority of the chances in a team and we had 3 forwards that season who outscored him.
"Magic Morton, nuff said" is a pretty meaningless sentence; I could make a nickname up for any player, doesn't mean it's true??

Morton was a bit unfortunate in that, although he never quite looked good enough, the coach at the time persisted with him a bit too long. The golden point ball-steal incident was the straw that broke the camels back. Like many other ex Wakey young players he's doing OK a peg below. Good luck to him. You could never knock his commitment and effort. What ever happened to Mark Field?
This world was never meant for one as beautiful as me.
