Plenty of people do it, every week (I'm not condoning it).
If a player is deemed to have brought the club/the game into disrepute by his behaviour then it definitely is something to do with his employer and the RFL

Why? He is a private individual, if it was Boris the Bricklayer out on a Saturday night his employer would have no right to discipline him, so long as he could do his job on Monday.

what if it was school teacher? cant tell me , 500 kids sharing it around school would't lead to his/hers dismissal

I would hazard a guess that there are Social responsibility clauses in most contracts these days. You represent the company even outside of your working hours

If an employee acts in an unsavoury way and brings the company it is associated with into disrepute, then the company does have the right to discipline the individual. I have this conversation with new employees during their HR induction as a part of summarising the Social Media policy. ATEOTD, Kelly knows he's very much in the public eye and should behave as such, especially in a modern era with technology at your finger tips. Players are unfortunately going to be pounced upon the second they misbehave and they need to be careful. However, this is nothing more than a ticking off incident, and rightly so it has been dealt with internally by the club. The Reason is a very very sad individual with a really nasty streak to want a player sacked over this.
