Fonua had the x factor that I just don't see in faraimo. He's improving though and was good on Thursday. Just needs to stop getting injured/sent off/banned

I wouldn't say being clocked in the head twice and getting concussion is being injury prone, I do agree with more game time he will get better though we dont seem to go to his side the way we did when we had Fonua on the right

Fonua was as instrumental as Ellis and Sneyd in our Wembley triumphs and has been an absolute standout in his time at Hull FC. He's already a legend! For anyone to suggest Faraimo is anywhere near that or will be better is clearly clueless. Faraimo has the potential to be a very good player but hes got a very long way to go to even get slightly near Fonua
Legend my arris, very good in a smattering of games over 1.5 seasons, got a sniff of a bigger wad of cash and mugged us off, we didn't even get a fee for him despite still being under contract. Biggest turnstyle in defence since Thorman and time and again Steve Michaels (and others) made up for his mickey poor defence and this was clear as a bell to see at the WC. His allowing Leeds two tries that against Leeds at last years semi-final was all you need to know about this 'legend', he let as many in as he scored, poor mans Tom Lineham, who whilst not quite on a par in attack was far superior defensively.
Not surprised he hasn't secured a 1st team spot, well over rated.
He was a rocks and diamonds player was Fonua. Made a few errors at times (like the semi final), but then came up with the big plays in big games. He was worshipped here, and I can't see that happening in the NRL. It's also a less forgiving environment, so the occasional misread in defence will go against him. From what I remember, he didn't hit the ground running either so it's unfair to compare Fonuas last six games to Buretas first six. That's said , I'd have Fonua every day of the week over Corey Thompson and he's starting for Wests at the moment.
