His first 40 mins and 2nd 40 mins only strengthens it.

Hows that? In the Widnes game Charnley scored 2 second half tries. Did King not play the first half ?

It's seems you haven't gone far enough back to understand my posts or there are some goldfish memories.

I'll recap....I said a winger is as good as his centre's last pass.

It was then said my theory was flawed because Charnley can score from nothing...I'll take that as without a pass in the context.

I said it strengthens my point.

W71..."how's that?"

Charnley plays 80s with King....
1st 40 Charnley is football starved....he scores the grand total of zero!...so he didn't score from nothing!!
In the second 40 the exact same centre gives Charnley passes....he scores!!!...so he can only score when he gets the football!!!!

Charnley is only as good as the service he gets.... Brian Bevan had been seen to walk off the pitch and sit on the touchline as he didn't get a pass.

It's not rocket science here!

Yes I agree Charnley looked World Class taking Toby kings passes in the Widnes Game. nothing on and scored two wonder tries.

compare that to how bad Charnley looked taking that pass of Ratchford at Salford. I mean Charnley just walked over the line and put it down very nonchalantly. looked a complete amateur. surely we want more for our money than walk over tries...

I think that's the point your trying to make RD isnt it...???? :

any way Toby King ... a one year deal very sensible by Price. reward for a solid start to the year with undoubtedly a target to improve his core skills if he wants a longer deal.

gone are the days of unwarranted long term deals....

Exactly. Under Smith he would have had a 5 yearer and testimonial. Price recognises we are under no pressure whatsoever from larger clubs for his signature and gives him the minimum he needs to.

Hopefully he can put his injury problems behind him and maintain more that a 50% availability rate.

I see. You are making him out like a Gene Miles - creating space and opportunities, drawing the man and slipping our crisp, accurate passes. I'm glad I understand, I thought you were intimating all he had to do was pass to Charnley come what may.

I would be worried if I was him though the last back you gave a rousing endorsement of (Russell) has ended up out of the club. Let's hope King's fortunes are better than that. :-)

By 'nothing' I didn't literally mean 'without the ball'

Do you know that no other teams are looking at Toby King? Personally I think recent performances will have put him on most clubs radar and they will be watching with interest. Whether they get convinced enough to offer him a deal for 2020 remains to be seen. If he carries on playing and performing well we may have competition for his signature beyond this extension IMO.
