Bonus is he is 24, has a good decade in front of him and will be keen to improve further and push for an international shirt. No. He'll be angling for a marquee contract wherever. For me, these should go to good players who are absolutely at the pinnacle of their games. He no longer qualifies. Even if, by some miracle, he'd be prepared to sign for the next-highest salary tier I'd prefer to see the monet spent on someone who's served us well and is slightly on the decline or else bring in someone who's not quite a top ranking player but who'll improve.

Joe Greenwood is a young and talented player so IMO we should be definitely interested in signing him if he wishes to join us under our current salary structure

If he's after a marquee style contract then he's surely Wigan,Wolves or Saints bound as I can't see Gary paying Marquee money for him and nor would I

I can understand Saints paying top dollar for Barba as he is the only true world class player in SL IMO,Although the fact that apparently Lomax,Sam Tomkins and George Williams are also on these mega bucks deals despite being anything close to what a Marquee player should be IMO shows that silly money is being handed out to players just to keep them sweet

The Rumours about Sam Tomkins leaving Wigan to join Catalans would be great financial business by the club IMO

Would not touch either with a barge pole, one is a known troublemaker, not got the right stuff to play for a club like us, the other is just plain carp and we have better players already.

The biggest problem we have at the moment is we cannot contain other teams coming out of there half, we either piggy back them with penalties or they are making 70-80 meters in a set of six.
this may change when we have all our front row options available, but my concern is we struggle with all our ageing forwards on the field or in the 17 all at once, i simply don't see how we can continue with Ferres, JJb Ablet, Delaney. all in the squad at the same time. We desperately need some young dynamics in the back row and should only have 2 of the above in the match day team at once.
