Thought he played really well, cocked up on 2 occasions not passing to charnley in the first half, and lumping 2 tries down that side on him is harsh. But all in all he scored 2 tries, saved a try against us, 2 try assists, broke the line 2-3 times and in the second half was defensively solid. Christ what more does he have to do to get some praise, him and charnley get some more games together and King works on his passing game they'll be a solid combination

Sorry to be negative because he scored two tries , but rocks and diamonds

My Point being that you flagged Toby up for not passing to his Centre, which is a funny thing to flag up, as Toby has 5 Try assists to his name this season whilst Atkins has 0.
Atkins also has 11 missed tackles to Toby's 9.
They have the same amount of tackle busts each.
Toby has made more tackles and has also made half the amount of errors...

I still don't get your point . If it had been Ryan Atkins that had made the same errors I would have stated the same thing. If you look at my historic posts i'm more about defending players than putting them down , I was a bit frustrated with Toby King that day .
My point is these passes and being willing to pass wins you the Big games , See Kurt Gidley from the 2016 Superleague final , If he would have passed instead of Going for the line we would have won . End of Story .

I only picked up on you picking up on it because we've been watching Atkin make those same errors every game for god knows how many years and not just yourself (just in this case), people have been jumping all over him about the times he never passed or what he should have done. There is never any of this outrage when Atkins plays the exact same way.

Don't get me wrong i have Been critical of Atkins lack of a pass , Or a pass into row Z before .
I think it was Charnley's face as he lined up for the Drop out Still shaking his head that made Toby's Lack of a pass hit home . I'm sure josh will be encouraging his Centre to draw and pass whoever that may be.
In all we're looking like a team that's growing , rather than a team that's on the decline and I'm happy.

I'm not bagging T King as overall I have been pleased with his performances particularly second half's where he's got his act together with what must be remembered, is a brand new playing partner, but, to state that Atkins doesn't get stick on here, particularly for the lack of a pass is something that I can't see. He gets plenty and quite rightly, but, makes up for it in other areas as I thought he was one of our better performers in the 'dark days' when all we had was a kick to the corner.
T King has a chance to make it, he's not had a settled run so far due to injuries (awaits the statisticians) he's only 21 and it looks like he will be given a fair go and playing inside Charnley will be a plus, so the rest is up to him

I think in the game that sparked the post it was their first game together so I would say its going to happen whoever the centre or winger is that will I move over time
King has more positives than negatives and given the amount of time he has been out I think he has fitted back in better than I had expected.
I see him as our long term replacement to atkins I think had the pitch not been in such poor condition atkins would have started but not playing him reduces risk to atkins it gives king a confidance boost in keeping his place and also tells the team that your selected on form.
One interesting snippet from the super league show Richie mathers implyd that the centre spot was now Kings and atkins would have to win it back. I remember thinking a few years ago he would make a really good centre, unfortunately I'm still saying the same thing hope he can really use this opportunity to up his game and start performing consistant him n charnley could be as good a wing centre partnership as any in the league.

Atkins has had plenty of stick on here about not having the skills such as creating space for his winger, passing*, brain farts (remember Ryan Air). But he has made the SL Dream Team twice for his explosive power and ability to get quick play the ball. He is also good under an attacking kick. He has represented England 8 times and is 5th on Super League’s all-time try list. Toby King is nowhere near him yet.
