What I didn't like was that after Connor scored his try and he gave a "come on" gesture to the Rovers defence while strolling in, Kendall pulled him to the side and had a word with him about his taunting. I remember somebody on here mentioning it during a previous game (Warrington maybe) where Connor was winding people up. The ref having a word with him to stop it. But why should he? He isn't breaking any rules of the game, not hurting anybody, and if the opposition are dumb enough to let him get to them then it's their own fault and they need to learn to control their own emotions. He can't be sent off for laughing at people so what's the point in having a word with him.

I said the same at the Time, Kendall had a word with his but honestly what can the refs so about it? Absolutely nothing.

It was arguably a harder run because of the teams we played and the fact it was an extra game because of the format change.
Round - 2005 opposition - 2016 opposition 4/5 - Wakefield Trinity - Bye 5/6 - Bradford Bulls - St Helens Quarters - Leigh Centurions - Catalans Dragons Semis - St Helens - Wigan Warriors Final - Leeds Rhinos - Warrington Wolves
2005 was harder IMO.
I meant that all 3 were won the hard way - none could be considered as one off bits of luck.

Maybe he is....

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

To me it is more showboating than taunting, and pretty innocuous. You’d have to have a bit of a thin skinned to see it as provocative. At worst, if I was being a very po-faced, you could say it was a bit immature, but at 23 you maybe still get a pass for that. if he’s trying to cultivate an image as an irritant, he maybe feels it is incumbent on him to do something, and I think that is about the right level - noticeable, but no big deal.
I’ve no particular issue with the ref having a word either though. It’s just one of the subtle nudges we all get as we grow up and it won’t be dismissed as youthful exuberance forever. Without these little social cues, I might not know not how ridiculous i’d look doing a dab at 42, for example.

Threw 2 forearms straight into Griffin's face when he was on the floor, and I remember him losing his temper later on in the match too. Gonna be a massive liability for Rovers this year if he isn't careful.
That and Greenwood using his knees to dislodge the ball and to give the oppositions body some attention.l
