Wouldn't want to see either of them banned although the pair of them talk a load of b0llox.

I don't like the adverts, or RLNewsHound, or CTSports comments, but it's what RLFans does. Last time I checked nobody forced anybody to come on the site.
It's simple, if you don't want to read what people think, don't log on.
You keep bumpy in check mate, along with Jake's help, this all runs along pretty well.
Banning someone for having an opinion?!?! Really??? Welcome to 1984 - You're George Orwell and I claim my £5!!

The reduction of activity on here has little to do with the tit for tat stuff.... frankly that has always been on here... at it's peak the Hull and Rovers banter was wildly out of control at times - the reason is technology. I've run several forums, the topics are things like recruitment, overseas travel... that doesn't attract that sort of banter, and the activity has completely tailed off there as well.
Forums still have their place, sites like Redit are very popular. But here you can see new media against old. Websites like this are covered in terrible advert boxes, heavy web scripts and forms, embedded elements etc., while not offering a dynamic experience like modern social media sites. Same reason newspaper websites are failing, I can't even get on the awful experience that is the Hull Daily Mail website. It's failed to modernise, which is understandable, it's a free website at the end of the day but that's the reason imo. I still come on here (obviously) as I prefer the more structured nature of the discussion and I think it still has it's place.
On a side note, I can't believe I joined this site in 2002! More than 15 years ago! I think that was about the time they took the forum off the HullFC.com website.
i can well remember the day i first signed up for the forum (the old one on hullfc.com) i had to try to defend the majority of fans after the infamous cup semi final at the mcalpine along with a few FC fans in the face of what seemed like the rest of the RL world. i liked the old newsgroup best of all, there was some top banter on there

you're going back to the dial up modem days (which was still faster than this bloated site).
Posters who had a bit of fun.
As CforCuckoo said, I was banned in the past for having an opinion, but I admit at times I was unnecessarily blunt. But that was in the days of other moderators who moderated based on personal opinion, not the AUP, now we hardly see a moderator because they are professional people who can't spend all day on line.
If spegs is unhappy I suggest he/she just doesn't log in, nobody forces you to.
If admin don't sort the adverts out then RLFans will die, I don't come on here for dating, holidays, life insurance etc. I don't need an entire fixture list clogging up my screen. Even the Sin Bin logo has a referee with a red card, not yellow. The whole site has lost it's "core values"

No wonder i don't use this anymore, took me 5 minutes to log on and reset my password. Then clicking on.bloody adverts as my screen changed
Not really used for a good few years, it's not kept up with modern technology and social media trends plus the moderators across the board made it a place you couldn't speak up if your opinions was different to them.
Any trolling resulted in bans and it just became a boring place.

You do know that many adverts are are a result of your frequent online searches? Dating, holidays......

The banal rhetoric and points scoring exercises that appear in every thread have become predictable, cliched and boring as the usual suspects continue to embarrass themselves in true keyboard warrior style. My advice to those responsible... Buy a dog, read a book, check out some internet "sites", go for a walk or maybe consider taking your partner away for a dirty weekend. You never know, it may just take you away from your keyboard, relieve you from your pent up frustration and remove your need to "post for effect" to gain the attention you so desparately crave.
Why the last 12 months? Loads like myself have given up with this forum far longer than within the last 12 months. I did enjoy contributing when I first joined but quickly it became apparent that 'd1ckheads' supported by questionable moderators on here totally ruined any contribution. Hence insider information is just no longer forth coming, especially from myself. I presume MY POST will disappear very quickly from here....................AGAIN.
