Was sat not too far away from Adam Pearson at the Warrington game, when Watts was sent off his face spoke a thousand words..surprised at the speed of this though.
It probably won’t be a popular opinion, but I think it’s the right decision from the club (if true).
Ultimately we have a tiny cap to try and squeeze maximum value from, and Watts’ qualities don’t override the send offs, suspensions & penalties. It also allows the club to potentially reinvest his salary and/or fee in a new addition, or retentions/upgrades.
On his day he’s a fantastic prop, no doubt about it, and I’m sad to see him go, but it’s also a position we seem to have ample cover in at the moment.
A couple of years ago we let Westerman & Lineham go for their unprofessionalism, we don’t tolerate unprofessional behaviour & allow it to creep in & grow either on or off the pitch. Fair play, we have standards to uphold.

Its a meet the directors event tonight for Cas supporters club with the usual question and answer session. No doubt the subject will be mentioned and it will swell the numbers a bit.
So the truth is, he’s never changed since leaving Rovers and Hull have persevered with him and got more playing years out of him as a result. He’s a talent, no doubt, but also an idiot, but then he’s an idiot who’ll be on a fantastic wage for a 27 year old...
Gutted about Watts but the club have got more decisions right than wrong lately. Look at the Lineham/Westerman deals. Got to trust AP, Radders and Gaz.
Wouldn’t be surprised if we came back with a prop from Salford, maybe one of Koppy, Mossop or young Griff?

It seems like a happy coincidence that this shock announcement coincides with Salford throwing a Spring Sale.
Lee Mossop would be my preference but his injury record is poor.

Don't see any of those as being better than we already have and certainly not as good as Watts. I think we need a 'Fafita style' prop but those are few and far between

Makes us weaker on the field.
When he's on it.
2017 saw him cited 17 times (3 red cards), charged 4 times, 6 games missed via suspension and despite these missed games he gave away 24 penalties (the most of any Hull player). 3 games missed so far via suspension in 2018.
