I agree with you about Mini.I think he is carrying an injury but also believe it will be his last season.

Lane reminds me of Houghton on debut just in that he looks ready. Not close to the youth set up but before the St George game was one of a list of players I’d barely seen - surprised how well he’s slotted in and contributed.

Shambolic refereeing display spoilt what was otherwise a good end to end game in wet/cold conditions.

You had the ref telling the video ref it was a try when Briscoe was clearly in touch and almost on top the linesmen...tries given as ‘no try’ and that being used as a reason to only give it a glance by the video ref not the usual 5 mins post mortem from 5 different angles. Then to top it all the linesman coming on the field to say he’d seen something but wasnt sure who or what??

I then felt we are ourselves got a couple of soft decisions late on the in the game. Too little too late and id rather see consistent and accurate decisions.

As for our performance, very encouraging from the young players and most nights we’d have nicked a win. However we now have a run of easier games and cant afford any slipups.

Notice his place kicking has been poop when Kelly is not playing. Could well be down to him trying too hard to do too much.
Sneyds line attacking has been really good, but to the detriment of his kicking game.

I want Kelly back to take some of that pressure of Sneyd (although wiht both Connor and Abdull there he should really not be that pressured....)
