*UPDATE* #M62 remains closed e/bound J20-J22 + w/bound J24-J21 due to strong winds + on-going work to clear the remaining stranded HGVs. #A66, #A628, main cross-country routes are also closed. M62 = likely to remain closed until at least this evening, gusts of 80mph just recorded.
Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

Plenty to choose from.
How long ago was that, how many out of millions of games have players suffered hypothermia? The chances are slim to none, more chance of players suffering a serious injury in game on any given match.

How far back do we need to go?

Make your mind up.

You produced one example, I don't remember any players every having hypothermia, what bit of that are you struggling with? Again re player welfare, it was not an issue tonight at any point, air temperature at 7PM was 1.5C. Clearly you think calling off a game on the back of a ridiculously rare example is justifiable, might as well call all games off in case players get seriously injured by your thinking

Did I ever mention calling the game off because of the risk of hypothermia - NO. Stop embarrassing yourself. You said you don't remember anyone ever having hypothermia, other posts contradicted you, and I found plenty of examples.

In the final analysis we should all be very pleased with tonight. Got the game on to avoid an awkward rearrangement - it's what other big teams like Wigan do. 2 points in the bag against a top 8 challenger. Jake Connor on matchwinning 40-20 wind-up form. And the whole weekend ahead of us. Lovely.
