If you walked down from the Gallows Lane entrance, there was a large area with a lot of shrubbery that made for a pleasant walk. Now it's just churned up mud with pieces of wood splinters scattered everywhere. Might not sound bad, if you walk there regularly it's pretty shocking. Same thing has happened recently to Walton Nature Reserve. :DEPRESSED:

I commented earlier that perhaps the occasional update would be welcome, but it was NOT aimed towards MC, more the council. Couldn't they have published some sort of timetable by now?

Just had a very interesting conversation with a very knowledgeable individual who sadly I can't name. He seems to think the BV upgrade is a goer and that certain people have been given a rough ride which in his opinion is unfair. He may be right he may not who knows but he seems to think that people should hold off the finger wagging (me included) and give it a chance. So I will personally lay off for now but the clock is still very much ticking imho. 8)

Don't know about Seckar Woods but Walton Colliery mess was caused by Network Rail and, I presume, it's subcontractor clearing trees from the railway embankment. When I pointed out to them that they were making a right mess of the pathway ..... well let's say they weren't sympathetic or customer friendly! It wouldn't have been too bad if they'd have stayed on the path but they were churning up the grass verges and everywhere with big pickups, small diggers and large chippers. :x

60 years supporting Trinity .............. and the psychiatrist still hasn't found a cure!

I can understand clearing the rail embankment. But like you say the mess they left was ridiculous. What I don't understand (I don't suppose you've seen it today), is why they've taken a tractor all the way round to the other side and mowed down trees, bushes - absolutely nowhere near any sort of road or train track, and just absolutely left a wreck. I can only assume the Council's OK'd it.

Five minutes walk from Sir Rodney's gaff, Will. Perhaps he's had the area cleared for a new stadium. :D

The person who told you that should ask themselves why is all this finger wagging happening in the first place. If they want it to stop then they should produce something tangible and I am sure it would. So its up to them, after all we have had lie after lie for so many years and dead line after deadline broken.

If you also remember this latest scheme involved the present legitimate trust being side lined and a phoney trust set up in its place. Maybe they are finding it hard to find sufficient gullible puppets for their trust and without that, the basis of the plan falls at the first hurdle.

Last but not least it seems this person has already accepted that the original deal we were hoping for has already gone and we should doff our hats and be thankful for what we are getting. So do we sit quietly while they walk all over us, continue to lie, continue to offer lesser and lesser deals. Well In my opinion I think the scum bags should get as much flak as possible as long as they continue to hold out for what we are owed as a club and as the community of Wakefield. If they don't like the flak ,then they should be thankful they have not had all the crap we have had to swim in over all these years with the bunch of snakes.

One thing that is of interest is that on the WMDC planning portal it says the 'determination deadline' for Newmarket reserved matters is tomorrow. I'm not sure if these things are actually stuck to, but it should be interesting to see what happens.

With 180 objections (including one from an MP) hopefully the pressure is on now.
