Little sympathy with Salford fans and the coach bleating about our conduct in persuing Lui.Remember when kockrash came in and all the dick waving and lording it about unlimited money and guaranteed success.Lui and Page and we look a fairly complete squad
Don't think Salford can claim any moral high ground here. Sounds like we approached their board through the right channels. Plus Salford were publicly criticised by Huddersfield and us for their handling of the Walne brothers and not letting them train with new clubs per the sports standard.
Lui would add a bit of x factor to the team. His wife tweeted along the lines that she wishes Salford would sell him so who knows if this is the end of this one or not.
Re Page, it looks like he would add something to the team but can't help but think we would be overdone with props and underdone with backrowers.

Simple just turn a couple of our lightweight props into second rows
einstien said insanity is when a person does the same thing over and over again but expects a different result

Simple in theory but outside of Greenwood that has already made the move I don't believe any of our props have the handling skills or speed to effectively move to second rows.
Trying to sign a rival teams key playmaker a week before the season starts is a little bit underhand, but hardly surprising. Desperate times, desperate measures n all that.
Luke Page - ran hard & looked aggressive for PNG. If he's any good for you, we'll pick him up in a couple of years anyway.

Who said we'd gone for him a week before the season starts? The bid could have been made weeks ago. The HDM only released the story yesterday and the club only made a statement after Salford released their statement in reaction to the HDM story.
Its quite sad that you feel the need to come onto our board. Your team are 2 times cup winners and have battled it out at the top of the league for the past couple of years, but you still feel the need to attempt to wind up fans of a newly promoted team who will probably be no threat to your team this season.
I guess you're having trouble shaking off that small club mentality. Oh well good luck for the season anyway.
