No more youngsters or squad fillers,we have plenty of both.We got away with Ellis and Abdull in Championship as starting half's. Injury to Danny M and we are looking at Atkin and Marsh or a hodge podge of Blair/Quinlan. Another new half another large forward and a big centre/winger type is needed(as after Minns and Heff it's salter) Team spirit and emotion will get us through start of season .Where we find these players is another matter?

Totally agree with this..I just hope its not left too late before the squad is strengthened..If we have a poor start and haven't strengthened by around round 6 we have to be favourites for bottom 4...hate to say it but that,s the way it looks to me.
We have quality players, so do others, but we seem to be cursed by injuries to key personnel at the wrong time, maybe we wont this time, it would make a change.
We are not party to what goes on behind the scenes, and just hear unsubstantiated rumours, which is very frustrating. Lets just hope Sheens pulls a quality signing or two out of the hat, and soon.
Whatever, lets get behind the team and make it uncomfortable for the opposition.

I do wonder what our "strengthening" aims are, last term we brought in Atkin early but he was really a target for this season.
So if we bring in a 2nd grade from Oz to play in front of him and Marsh what we're we buying ?
Also if we sign a Big powerful centre to replace Minns, what is the future for him and Salter ?
How many can we really expect York to take. We have to commit to some development, and without the luxury of an A team that as to be in the first 17.
If our targets are to allow squad rotation ala Tommy Lee, then it's forwards we need given our ageing front row and Bobby Blair.

If we are bringing in younger players who are happy to develop and wait for an opportunity then a centre/winger/fullback type would fit the bill, but wasn't that Butler-Fleming?
I think any new perminent signing may result in players been released.
