I look forward to being pleasantly surprised by several players today who I appear to have prematurely written off.

So now it’s fellow supporters who for a variety of reasons do not go to today's game that become the subject of your scorn.

Are you a Detective Keith? If not then you should consider a career change.

An expanding super league may well be a factor in many teams recruitment policies.
Another will be the higher pay cap in the NRL.
Add in the very poor exchange rate and many of our southern hemisphere imports are starting to see they can earn more playing second grade in Australia, than in SL.

Those teams who have built teams around their overseas "stars" will soon be changing their approach and starting to retain the likes of Mcgillvary, Warmsley and Watkins as marquee players rather than looking abroad.

Warmsley will be on his way to the NRL in 2019.
I understand your thinking but it will be very difficult for SL clubs to hold onto players given the salaries and lifestyle available in Australia irrespective of Marquee player rules

Carney happy enough. Sio is a player I as a fan would love to see back with us.Is there any substance in this or just wish full thinking?

As great as Ken Sio was for us, do we really want to go back to having 2 quota spots tied up on the wings?

I’d expect the 2 spots we have will go on a half back and a forward, subject to suitable players becoming available.

I think we have enough outside backs no need for Sio as good as he was it would be a bit of a waste now
