I wasnt necessarily meaning you. I just think that Briscoe has had some real stinkers and got nowhere near justifying his signing but he doesnt come in for half the stick the likes of Sutcliffe, lilley and McDermott do.

Im comfortable applying a different standard to a young player in his first season for the club and an experienced international big money signing.

Don't be coming on here with rational plans like that! We've got a player to hang out to dry!

Come on im not here to hang any player out to dry but Briscoe was easy meat and any team's half could have targeted him yesterday with a basic kicking game.
Truth is his coach should have seen this and taken action after the first big warning when we got away with the no try when he dropped a dolly, i actually feel for Briscoe he has issues and continuing with him in hope is not helping anyone.
He should have caught the first one he bombed. The alarm bells start ringing. Then in the second half Briscoe was a passenger. I wonder if he was told not to contest 50/50's with Talanoa in the second half? We could have tried something different, maybe stick Watkins on the wing and put Ward at centre? Or swap Briscoe and Watkins? But no, we continued to invite them to stick to their game plan.

How do re-build his confidence?
Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.
Whatever happens i hope his problems dint run deeper than poor form or lack of confidence but if they do i hope the Club give him all the help & support he needs. The reason i say this is purely because he looks to me like he literally has the weight of the world on his shoulders( not a pun).
I really am rhinoms and haven't stolen his Avatar!
