I could say that the problem was down to the wrong grass but it is an unlikely scenario.
Largely different players, same coach and similar performances. Now, let me see, where would look to put things right?
When we played Hull at home a few weeks ago, we only managed to win because they were so appalling bad themselves. Wake up and smell what you are shovelling.

no I hadn't. I gave my views and reasons views. yours was a typical response. its not and never will be brians fault. simple as that. no matter what, in your eyes he's never at fault

We can analyse the tactics , the coaching , the players etc forever and a day , but the simple fact are Hull fc we're far too powerful up front for us to live with . This enabled the likes of Sneyd , Kelly and Houghton the time and space to control the game as they liked . The importance of winning the arm wrestle is too often overlooked . The Hull pack were magnificent yesterday and never took a backward step , our pack was shown to be nowhere near strong or aggressive enough . Outmuscled , out enthused , and sadly not really of the required standard at this level .

It reminded me of the old pre-Super League days. We flatter to deceive during the season, winning more than we lose, then when it comes to crunch time, we get hammered.
Leeds Rhinos? 8 for you, Leeds Rhinos! You go, Leeds Rhinos.
I think Mcdermotts a bad coach,we look woeduly unorganized and lacking in any structure most games and it feels like we havnt controlled the ptb since he got here, this will lead to the pack being knackerd after 20 mins, this is compounded by having a bench with either unfit players, too many backs or just not using players atall, these are all coaching issues. Imo we'd see a sizeable raise in performance from even some of our lesser players if we had a competent coach who gave the players the best platform to succeed. This isnt just a reaction to yesterday...Iv never rated him.

24 hours later, one thing stands out more than the rest for me of yesterday's performance. There seems to be no hunger about the place anymore. Some might call it professionalism but whatever it is, that will to go further and harder than the other team, it's missing for Leeds these days and it has been for a little while.
The players should shoulder a large portion of the blame for the performance yesterday, or in any individual game, but when you string a series of similar performances together, or ones like we have seen for the last 12-18 months, where when it got tough we folded, you can only look to GH and BMD for they are the ones with the power to change failing players.
It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.

You should be very happy rhino-mark as you expected us to finish 7th. I suppose your logic is being 2nd is down to the players but being out of the cup is down to the coach.
Yesterday in the semi we were outplayed by a very big and determined Hull side who dominated our pack and field position and they deserved to win. Without any major recruitment we have done well this season and have no right to expect to win every match. So when the players are not at their best and are beaten by a better side on the day why do you rush to the blame game?
You and the other usual suspect have become so boring and predictable and really get upset when anyone challenges your hysterical postings. I have never said the coach is blameless but really to pile into him every time we lose or when players do not perform shows judgement based on emotion rather than rugby acumen
Hysterical? Nope your mis-reading the tone of an opinion but i aren't surprised. More of the same "its not brians fault" As for the long history once again you fail to take anything in context. Why have'nt you answered the selection or gameplan issues? Onto the Coach not being blameless where have you actually put he was to blame for ANYTHING? Just like earlier in the Season when you were slating Sutcliffe for running & getting caught on the 5th you blame the player yet when Mags revealed it came from the Coach to avoid a 7 tackle set you claimed it could be a good tactic loads of rugby acuman. Also my posts state clearly about GH & the Players also being at fault. It's a forum for opinions if mine are predictable & boring then blatantly so are yours pal.
