Think Hull FC are doing ok with bringing through our home grown youth since Pearson took over the club and invested in the youth development that had seriously been neglected under previous owners. The last couple of seasons has seen a greater success in this in terms of players coming through to the senior team such as Logan, Turget, Fash, Downs, Matongo, Litten following on from the likes of Houghton, Shaul, Bowden, Hadley.
Its takes time to nuture these players and wont happen overnight after years of under funding in that area and the way the sport in general is run in terms of youth development.
Thanks to Pearson investing heavily in this area for our club with a Coach who supports youth development we as a club are now starting to see the benefits of Pearsons investment and plan for future home grown players.
Good point, well made. The right way forward. No true fan would begrudge some success to a club who develops playing talent, as Cas have always done. Some acknowledgement of this would be appreciated by fans of big clubs.
