I must admit my curiosity was piqued when he was interviewed at the Warrington game and he said he was there as a guest of the club. I for one can envisage a scenario where he returns. Are we certain to retain our star wingers Burgess and Dom long term?

For me it's a no. Very good player but we have four top quality wingers already. Even if Burgess or Manfredi left I'd be replacing them internally rather than recruiting. If we sign anyone then I'd like to see us bring in a quality prop or an experienced reserve centre.

aboveusonlypie... If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.
I think the chatter is made up. A friend of mine bumped into him a few weeks ago and got chatting. Jokingly asked him when he was coming back, and Josh's response was that he was happy in union, and that he was excited for the new season as Sale had some big signings lined up (then they announced O'Connor a week later).

I think Burgess will have another crack st the NRL when his contract with us is over but I think when that happens we have 2 lads who will be even more experienced and ready to take that spot on. Similar scenario to when Burgess and Manfreddi were coming through.
As such Charnley probably a no from me. He was playing some great rugby in his last year after a couple of quiet years but I think in some cases it's not a good idea to get too sentimental and probably best for both parties to move on.
If he was to return I think it would be to someone like Wire.
Rumours on Oz linking us with Trent Hodgkinson as a replacement for Tommy who we are looking to move into coaching earlier than planned to make way for him.

Look on the Leeds site they say that Trent has one very bad knee that is troubling him and that is why he can not get in the team playing two young lads instead that's not what we need is another injured player on the books.
