The round ball season is over..Why arn't RL games switched to Sunday?

Our stated preference was for Saturdays at 6pm. But sky games, particularly Thursday games means the games are moved. If opponents have a game on the Thursday, then they wont play the Sat / Sun before.

Not entirely sure why the RFL allow clubs to state preferred days to play to be honest. Non-televised Friday fixtures can knock tens of thousands off Sky viewing figures, which can hinder their value.

Indeed.So why do we still have them at this point in the season?

......because Sunday rugby is old hat. The sport has moved on since the days of playing at 3:30 on a Sunday after the shifts have finished at the pits. If you don't like Friday or Saturday night rugby then don't go. Simple. We seem to be doing alright with attendances and corporate sales for evening kick offs, so no need to change from a financial point of view.

Nobody said anything about not going. I went Thursday as it was my day off! Your telling me the East wouldn't have been opened on the Sunday? Which I would have missed being at work.

But if all is well financially,no point having the conversation.

It wasn't opened on Thursday because tight arsed Leythers and Pie Eaters watched it on the TV. If it was played on Friday or Saturday night and not on TV, then the East stand would have been opened.

Sunday was always my preferred choice, but although I still dislike Thursdays (except when we beat Wigan) I now prefer Friday night it frees up the weekend for other things, even Saturdays are better than Sunday
