Considering the players missing and the small pot we had to pick from that is a cracking result whatever the circumstances. We wouldn't have won there under GT (IMO)

And your man Miller was very influential.

At least the team spirit seems to have improved.

We did score the winner off a penalty they gave away in the final minute .

According to the RL Express, the Dons gave away 17 whilst receiving just 6.

If one looks at the table, despite a great win, it tells a tale of mediocrity.
The worst attack in the top eight, the second worst defence and the worst points difference.
Yes there is the Toronto effect to consider and Hunslet have played one game more.
But the Thorntonesque lack of discipline still remains and it's a thing that needs to be addressed rapidly and one reason that threatens Greeny staying in charge.

A win against Barrow would help.

I can't understand why Whitehaven have done so well.
They were in disarray at the beginning of the season.

S-O , you sound like GR quoting stats !
Workington gave away crucial penalties late on & to the Dons credit they went for the 6 points.

Was just looking at the table ...
I could not point things out if that's preferable?
Using your argument, one could argue that if the Dons had not piggybacked Worky with all those penalties, it needn't have come to that.
Let's not forget the Dons were moments away from defeat.
It's not like it was a convincing win.
Take away our stupidity and perhaps it would have been.

Yes , I appreciate we were minutes away from defeat but Russ Spiers had it all under control .
Yes we gave away too many penalties , I know that !

Things are looking up post Thornton .

Wasn't trying to get you back on board .
Out of interest would you prefer a coach from another club or PG. If it is to be an outsider I hope PG is kept on .
