Something has to change, even whilst we had a decent run of winning games we were still rubbish for the most part. I can't understand why despite no real visible improvement (bar maybe Leeds and saints) that nothing has changed in the coaching department.
It's clear that what is being coached is not working, it looks as though we are still persisting with the same rubbish regime that is making our attack look completely disjointed. We've just had 6 players selected for England elite, and with the exception of ratch (excuse currie) we haven't seen the best of them this season. Why?
I would (reluctantly) accept it, if Smith came out and just admitted that our attack isn't working and so has decided to bring in x as coach to help improve our attack or at least freshen it up.
I'm finding it hard to jump completely into the smith out camp on reflection (once I've calmed down, I very much want him. Out at full time every match recently) because he's given me memories I never thought I would get supporting wire (even GF defeats and hubcaps, never mind the cup wins) but I'm totally dismayed with this seasons performance levels, if he can't see that a new approach is needed then I can't see how we carry on supporting him. Something has to change in the setup, surely! Please bring at least a new attack coach in, if we were dangerous then opposition teams wouldn't just think all they have to do is score 20 points to beat us and what's worse is that we're giving that and more away cheaply every week. We're basically getting mauled by basic rugby.
Also it would be nice to not go 2 scores down before getting on the board ourselves. The players don't seem to believe in themselves at all and that for me is another definite coaching issue.

Perfectly summed up. If he was seen to be doing something about it i would give him the benefit of the doubt. I know its boring but its no coincidence it's all coincided with his mate joining. A great coach would have no qualms about saying goodbye to his mate and crack on.....its bordering on complete arrogance and foolishness...in fact it's not bordering on it at all. Frustrating.

I thought you were equating club wealth with fan patience. The greater the patience the greater the wealth (tongue in cheek). I replied that Saints would be considered a wealthy club, especially with their GF appearance prize money, yet their fans would not be considered overly patient. Ergo challenging the link between wealth and patience.

It’s a strange position to find yourself in as a fan of the club. One the one hand you want the team to do well… On the other hand, the desire to see the back of the coach is now so strong that it’s causing a real conflict for some people.
I have seen some comments along the lines of ‘lets hope we get beat again so he gets sacked’.. I don’t think I’ve ever wanted us to lose prior to a game. But at the weekend, when I saw we were 0-18 to Salford, I did think ‘hopefully this now ends of 50 od nil and leaves Moran with no other option.’
‘If we lose the next 2 games he will be gone’ has been said a few times….. Would you accept that? Is that now a valid trade off?
If losing the next 2 games against Wigan in the cup and Hudds in the league GUARANTEED a change at the top, I think quite a few fans would go for that now. Or would you like to see a spirited resurgence, with a few wins and a stay of execution?
I know people have different takes on it but the middle 8's is a sepereate comp to the top 8's. The two leagues split into 3 divisions.
If we finish in the bottom four we will be competing in a division below the top. Something that has never happened in the Warrington clubs history and is quite frankly unacceptable for the team and the facilities we have.

Reading your board in 2017 is almost the same as reading our board in 2016. Some fans wanting their own team to lose, some fans wanting the coach to walk etc etc I`m sure you will be safe from the drop but admit it is a major worry when you are in that position.

The difference is that your coaching set up had delivered consistent success for the the previous years, whereas we have been potless since 2012 with the current squad. You also had a major rebuild.
It's nothing like the Saints boards (mostly Redvee) was Chappylad, I never want Wire to lose and I've read only one pathetic post on Rlfans saying that.
