If some of the other Hull players learnt how to tackle properly like DH does then we would be a far far better defensive team and he wouldn't have to get involved in some of those if they were more effective.
The problem is it's all the tackling he has to get through in a season that diminishes him in attack and subsequently also in defence..I know he's had an enforced break but I still think the amount of tackles he is asked to make is too many.

Superman should be so lucky to get such an easy task of overseeing the safety of the planet compared to Houghton's endeavours.

In most other top teams DH would have had a few call ups by now but it's the way the club have used him for some time (as an 80 minute hooker) that is holding him back not his ability as a whole IMHO.
