Pathetic today but it is just one game. Problem is that's the 3rd one this year. Bottom line where still 2nd although won't be for long. We had a few out today and for some reason we didn't fire at all. Big 2 games coming up and hopefully get a few back.

Give over, it's an old wives tale. Presumably you think we should never sign players with flat feet, never cross knives in the club restaurant (and never serve boiled eggs), ban players from whistling or mentioning pigs.
West Hull never seemed to have a problem playing in green.
Who mentioned West Hull . They chose to play in the Australian kit .

THe standard was the same last year and you managed to totally mess that up.
Can't decide which is more embarrassing the talk of the kit been green or the sudden appearance of certain Rovers fans who haven't had the guts to come on here in the last year..

We don't usually need to venture round here for a chat seeing as the likes of your good self and Jake are permanently camped on the Rovers forum, despite our lowly status.

I mentioned West Hull.
Johnny Whiteley had the idea for their kit, based on the Australian international jersey.
Green may have been traditionally thought of of unlucky by fishermen but they had countless superstitions. All of which (like all superstitions) are complete bollox.
To suggest the club have "disregarded" its history is frankly laughable. For one thing the club was formed by a group of ex public schoolboys.

Wouldn't the trawler man connection have been a later development anyway as Hull were from the East and Rovers the West originally weren't they?
