As of this afternoon, from Twitter:
No idea what the consequences could be from the Allam/SMC perspective, but we're left as the city's only top flight club in the City of Culture year. Disappointing.

If there's any truth in the rumours, Mr Allam has already paid himself back all his loans to city, using tv money and parachute payments as guarantees.
Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

So is citys relegation a good or bad thing for us. Will it result in Allan going? Could mr Pearson be interested again? Imo the ingredients are all in place for a drop straight through the championship as they are likely to have no manager, all the best players will leave and they'll spend no money. I would also be surprised if the crowds hold up too.

I feel genuinely sorry for the true supporters as I know how I would feel if it happened to us. Allams on the other hand - I'm pissing myself laughing.

you're right it will take time to see what happens to them. last time of course they bounced straight back which offset many of the problems associated with relegation. they also kept hold of their manager and the best players. this time i think it could be a bit different. i also think the fans reaction will be different
The situation's different now. I don;t think the old man has much involvement and his lad seems to fire from the hip with every decision. I doubt the relegation will bring about anything positive for us unless they sell up as a result

I doubt it will bring anything positive for anyone tbf. If they weren't prepared to sell with a Premiership price tag I can't see them going anywhere until the parachute payments are complete.
