A bit of everything there. Some of the play was shockingly inept and not just by Leeds. Had me in a bad mood until the last 15. Cheered up considerably by winning a game in which we were so bad for so long though.

Under the circumstances a good win - especially the last 15 minutes where they coped with the conditions a lot better than the Catalans. The right side of the defence left much to ponder on - a win is a win
Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.

The quality of teams is absolutely horrendous, but whilst people are just happy with wins I suppose it doesn't matter. In the circumstances it was an excellent result, but the performance is just not memorable.
At the start of the game, I think it was O'connor on the commentary that said Catalans missed 35 tackles in their last game, and how poor that was, and if they did that again they would be beaten easily again. They just got beat, but incredibly missed a further four more. That is horrendous defending.
We ourselves missed 34 tackles, which is so close to the stat O'connor was talking about before the game. McGuire and Sutcliffe 12missed tackles between them is bordering on embarrassment at this level of rugby.
My concern before the game with Garbutt missing was the metres to be made. In the most part, nothing to worry about as some forwards gave a big account of themselves here and really made the yardage. However, I said during the game, the tactic of JJB taking so many hit ups was poor, and the fact he had the lowest average gain than 32 other players highlights that further.
There is not a side in Super League that would have made the top 8 just a couple of years back, dont know why it has gone backwards so much, but end of the day I would bet not many had us down for a win still at Catalans this year.

The first hour was pretty poor imo especially defensively not just 1 on 1 but structerally aswell. Great tries from Mags & Burrow & Dannys kick for Suttys try was excellent but both are way past their best. Relieved & chuffed to come back & win but we have loads to sort before MW or it'll be another 50+. My MOM was Cuthbo & i thought Sutty kicked very well something many said he was incapable of doing.

a great win but as gotcha said, the standard of all the teams are so poor. can't remember the last time I enjoyed a game, regardless of the teams involved

Hopefully we can maintain a bit of momentum though with that kind of performance it's hard to see how. None the less, there's a chink of daylight beginning to appear between the top four and the rest. Be nice if we could extend that gap further while other teams are injury hit or bang out of form. Long way off yet but if we were to make top four along with cas, hull and Salford we'd have a puncher's chance in the play offs. I'd much prefer that scenario to finding ourselves in with the likes of wigan and wire if I'm honest.

That's just not true.I agree the league has declined at the top end, have said that for years I think that decline started at around the turn of this decade but i don't think the league was any better on the whole in 2015 as it is now. Wigan, without the injuries and Cas have better squads imo for starters. Warrington are no worse really but for whatever reason have had this terrible start.Saints have been in a rut for a few years, they were no better in 2014 when the spawned the title than they are now and Hull are a much improved team the last 18 months as are Salford.

You've been saying this for years now. Why are you wasting your time? Go watch or do something else.. Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result etc...

have I? really? the last two years have been poor across the board.before that I really enjoyed it. hardly missed a game. now lots of games simply aren't enjoyable. anyone who thinks its as good as it was a few years back is in cloud cuckoo land.not sure why, possibly the lack of real top quality overseas players, the cap, i'm not sure. but something needs to change
