I thought we played well tonight in large patches.a bit clueless as usual when in the opposition 25 and our right side defence was woeful throughout but can't fault the effort from the lads and to win that feels like a good 2 points stolen which we may need with a tough period coming.

Would like to add a great following and im very happy to see the weather looked good for those that did travel

Play right till the end, put the effort and grunt in right till the end and you shall reap the rewards. Pity we couldn't do that last week, but fair play tonight. Happy for the thousand or so supporters out there. They will have a fantastic evening.

Thought Galloways second stint was very good, made metered and found his front every time, allowing others to play off the back of quick ball.

Great shout.him and Cuthbertson were massive for us last 15 minutes.

A great win that, and a great attitude to come back. Our discipline will need to improve massively, a better side would've been out of sight in that first half.
I thought we were good with the ball at times, and we didn't struggle to get into good field position, but our decision making was poor at times, and we let them off the hook too often.
It's harsh to just blame McGuire alone for the poor defence on the right. Sutcliffe and Ward weren't much better, so I can see why McDermott didn't throw Lilley on. Having McGuire, Sutcliffe, Burrow, and Lilley all defending on the fringes would've been suicide.
On a positive note, I thought the forwards were excellent. Cuthbertson and Galloway in particular were outstanding. They all carried the ball well, but the discipline was poor, and we conceded some soft tries. Hopefully we can rest a few few next week, and make some adjustments ready for the Cas game.

Tbf to Mac, he shifted Moon over to the right, but it didn't really help. Most scores come from that side anyway with the preference of right handed players. As above I was impressed with Galloway, considering he has had a major injury. Two points considering our missing players at this stage of the season is a very good result.
