Hi,
Long time Rhinos fan heading over to Perpignan for the first time for the games vs Les Cats on Saturday! Cautious optimism that despite the absentees, we may bounce back from last week's showing vs the Giants...
Does anyone have any recommendations for places to eat / drink, what to do pre game / on the Friday and any other things of note in the town?
There is a decent Indian restaurant by the side of the river on the bridge and if I recall correctly an Aussie themed bar. Perpignan is pleasant enough but not a great deal to do TBH

Why would you go to Perpignan to have an Indian meal or even worse go to an Aussie themed bar? Try the local cuisine & especially the local wine. Give it a whirl you might like it & it doesn't have to cost an arm & a leg. Go to the local castle, if you've time go to Carcassonne or to Collioure or Banyuls on the coast. Easy to visit by train.

All the Leeds fans gather in the square under the Castillet pre game at Cafe de la Poste. Hetherington and crew usually bob along for a drink with fans too. Fans get there in the morning and i swear some wont leave and miss the game.
La Roma restauant near the tourist information centre on the bridge is decent and the team eat there usually after the game.
As people have said its a nice enough town but theres not a lot to do there hence why most people stay out of town.
I usually stay in Barcelona but most stay in Lloret de Mar.

I would have tried the local cuisine if anything had been open . Carcassonne is fantastic ,had a nice casoulet there.
I was looking forward ro watching Catalan and Rhino's match on Saturday, however it would appear it is on Sky Sports ' Mix' channel . Another channel on subscription only. I pay for Sky Sports and refuse to pay for an additional channel so it goodbye to Sky I think !
