Either we want him or we don't and whatever league they are in shouldn't be a factor?
It could just reflect the player's preference. You're happy to sell, but he only wants that move if Rovers are back in SL.

Even Radford wants him or he doesn't it wouldn't be dependent on Rovers coming up as they could just transfer list him and I'm sure that another club in SL would look to sign him.

Exactly. If we are happy to sell then that suggests we don't want him?

Then why has he recently signed a new contract?
Then we can get a fee for him if he decides to stay at Rovers, if not we have a player who will have had a full years run without being dropped for others ineffectiveness elsewhere so could do a job for us in place of a fair few positions. However in his (now) preferred position that would mean a change in our tactics somewhat. You only have to see how Westerman flourished last season in a more ball handling role than he'd had of recent times.
IF we can change that and have a 13 a la SOL then I think that would benefit us immensely, it also gives us a deep field kicker, back up goal kicker and he'll still only be turning 22 at the beginning of next season.

It’s all hypothetical, but the player has a contract with you so has a big say in decisions affecting his future. The only way it could come down to a simple ‘Radford doesn’t want him, so we can get rid.’ is if Hull pay up his contract, denying him the single option of staying at Hull. There are plenty of reasons why Hull might not be able to dispose of him any way they please (especially for a fee! He’s been good for us and has potential, but it is ‘good’ rather than ‘brilliant’, and until Leigh, it was only against Championship opposition). If we’re interested, he might not fancy another season at this level if we don’t get up. If Salford, for example, were interested he might not fancy the move or commute. I appreciate that staying at a club that doesn’t particularly want wouldn’t be ideal, but with a contract you can bide your time to see if the wind changes, or leave on terms that might suit you better.

I agree. We struggle at times in attack due to only having two pivots in the side. Shaul should be that third pivot when chiming into the line, but he just doesn't have the hands/skills to execute plays, chucking Abdull in there would help, and as you say he provides that other kicking option.
My question mark over him at 13 is more around the other facets a 13 needs to have. In attack, yes, it's a no-brainer, but does he have the defensive capabilities and fitness to defend in the middles for most of a game, and can he make some hard yards in our own half when needed? I'm not sure at the moment, but he does have youth on his side.
That's why Sean O'Loughlin is so good, because he has both of those sides to his game, to a pretty high standard, but unfortunately there's not many players of his type around.
It's the defence and go forward elements we'll be losing when Ellis retires. I'm not holding Abdull to Ellis' high standards by any means, but we have to think about trying to replace those things too, as well as improving the attack.

Its all conjecture, he is signed for FC and on loan to KR, they are the only facts we have.
