I don't know what people expected from this season, but Super League is hard. I suppose we've been winning every game for 3 years in a row in the Championship, so the transition for the fans is hard. If you look at the results bar Castleford, we've not been hammered and I'd guess we were within 20 points of each team.

As an aside, Hull KR are a Super League team, just like when we was in the Championship last year. I can see Hull KR coming back up next year and ourselves / Widnes / Huddersfield going down.

We have a few players missing, Hock, Patterson, Clare, Brown, Maria etc.... Our main aim this year is staying in Super League, even if it means in the million pound game. There's a lot of doom & gloom, but we can easily turn our season round. We are still transitioning and will be all year.

Neil Jukes isn't setting the world on fire at the moment, but I'd stick with him for a bit longer to see if he can turn it around.

Keep calm, support the lads, and good times will (hopefully) come.

It's hard to pick positives at the moment. We are just not used to seeing our team lack effort and motivation.
The last few years we have won loads of games in 2nd gear. At the moment it's difficult to see where the next win will come from.
Leigh fans will always cast doubt over the club as we've been let down since the Murphy era and always seem to screw supporters over with tittle tattle. Winning the challenge cup in 71 then the team breaks up, won the league in 82 and then we can't repeat that success. Then the Bell/Hart ownership and the possible loss of the ground in the 90's. Milward came and went, and came and went! SL under Abram was a disaster - he couldn't even pick his first team and gave squad numbers alphabetically!!!
New supporters of the last 5/6 years have seen winning Leigh teams and are used to that.
But the tide has turned. Jukes' only coaching experience was as a number 2, likewise Purtill. Anderson just puts cones out and brings nothing but being a plonker on pitchside to the table. Cooke has potential (like Purtil) comment removed by mod

Injuries have certainly caused us problems - but do we just sit back and blame injuries? Something is not right at the club and it begins at the top. As great as he is for putting his money into the club, Degsy a 'director of rugby' ???? Come on, that mon should keep out of the dressing rooms and stop wanting all the attention- after all it is the players who should be at the centre of attention.
The timing of Judge Rinder is an absolute clanger and those who don't worship the messiah will simply not turn up. Just like yesterday, a lovely warm Saturday afternoon and folk can't be bother to spend their hard earned cash on watching Leigh - perhaps our owner should have a look at himself and take a big step backwards out of the spotlight he's created for himself before this season turns into a complete disaster.

He's no good - the lad is huge but couldn't bust through a wet paper bag. He was crap at Wigan, he was crap here, and christ knows why Saints then signed him. Predictably, he was crap there as well.

Very strong words, very strong opinions, are three right?

Ps imagine if jukes was sacked , who would take the job ? ... can you imagine an experienced coach like brian noble putting up with degsey barging in the changing room having his say ? ... until he steps back and leaves the rugby decisions to the managers (all 4) this will keep happening this is one reason why paul Rowley walked

Keith, I agree with some of Peters points, but others are debatable,I agree somethings must change and change soon, the Team are shot at,at the moment injuries, low confidence, but I don't think Jukesy has lost the Dressing room as has been reported.
I didn't go yesterday, only because of other commitments, I won't be at Saints on Friday for the same reason, not because I have lost faith, but it's SL we are in, every game very difficult ,,do I think we will come through this?A big YES , but we as fans need to support the Jukesy and his backroom staff, I never believed all that tosh about Jukesy being the BEST Coach Leigh have had since AJ Murphy, I'm sure Jukesy didn't like the statement either but we must have faith in him.

Derek must take a leaf out of Marwans book and take a step backwards,we've had Rod Stewart Beaumont, and Robbie Williams Beaumont, now Judge Rinder, what next?Let's get back to basics and start concentrating on what's important, cmon Leythers.
