So lets be clear here, according to you your the poor relations in this senario and aren't second behind the Terriers but are in third place behind the council
brearley84 wrote:so yes we do play second fiddle to the football club at times even wigan play second fiddle to their stadium partners. where are shakefield playing next season?? not answered that one my bet would be dewsbury but then again you could end up with trips to coventry
Not sure how bringing Wigan or Hull for that matter into your flimsy argument about you having to play second fiddle with your ground sharing, but at least it should help you mentally accepting the reality of the situation going forward. Shakesfield Jesus your so predictable, No I don't know where we will be playing next season except that it will be in SL, are you confident enough to think you will with HKR waiting for you in the MPG asuming you get that far. Just a thought if thinks don't go to plan whatever they may be, we could always do the unthinkable and stoop to the depths your lot took and take over another club, lets leave it at that brierley because your so out of your depth here, having said that you'd be out of your depth in a car park puddle
chissitt wrote:It matters little what day of the week you play Catalans they will bring zero fans, as you say it's a busy Easter and the Terrific Terriers would be expecting a bumper crowd against Preston as against yourselves who would only have the home fans what had not got anything planned for the weekend. So what we have is you having to play second fiddle to the main tenants of the ground once again, and luckily for you having to play Wednesday gave you two extra days off to prepare for Monday, as for losing no revenue are you saying that playing on a Wednesday night as against playing good Friday means you will not lose revenue, and you say were not very bright down our way, your spin on the situation borders on the desperation but if it helps keep on believing it, love the insults btw
Do you know so much about our revenue streams. Pray tell. Where exactly will we have lost large amounts of revenue playing on a Wednesday instead of a Thursday night which was when the game was scheduled originally? The attendance for this game was actually slightly higher than when we played Catalan on a Sunday afternoon last season!..... Kirklees stadium development (they are the people who run the stadium) requested the change so that the groundstaff could prepare the ground well over the busy Easter period. Ken Davy, Richard thewlis are directors of KSDL a long with Dean Hoyle town directors oh and along with amongst others members of Huddersfield sporting pride, oh and Huddersfield community trust ....another two Ken Davy ventures... So do let ken know if Wakefield need somewhere to play next season- I'm sure he would be willing to help you when Dewsbury can't.

I think you might be better to concentrate on your own club and getting the ground sorted( which i hope you do by the way ) Things look a bit brighter now some of the Papers have got hold of the story.
I spent a lot of time watching Trin, Cas and Fev in my youth and i don't like to see any of them having problems " anymore than Hudd's ". I really hope you get the new ground in time for not too much damage to be done by having to move out of Wakey, I feel leaving the City on a permenent basis could spell the begining of the end for Trin and it would be a crying shame to lose a club with such a great history.
So i hope things go well for you, This season and in the longer term, but don't worry too much about the Giants, they have been in some pretty low places but they will survive, they may get relegated and it may be good for them but they will survive, They have a man behind them who shows unbielievable committment.

I have no more than a passing interest in Huddersfield giants, and I don't refer to them as Shudds, it's the Huddersfield board to discuss club matters but when you include other clubs then I'm sure you agree as a level headed fan that by doing so you also invite opinions from the people you are discussing, and unfortunately human nature being what it is, some like to give it but don't like it back.

and in reply to changing the avatar i said ..nah which means no... like other poster has said, not too bright down at shakefield
good luck on finding a new ground to play in.
sure we will hear from you many more times on this forum and your continued obsession with everything giants

If brearley and Chissit want to carry on their love in can they just organise a date night and discuss it there. Thanks
What a shame that a sport that has so little support in the general run of things, has so much inter club dislike, Not that it's peculiar to Giants/ Wakey.
