However the statement suggests he is a contracted Sheffield player, so if the contact has not been torn up then you could owe a few £s for inciting Chisolm to breach his contract, similar scenario as Deny Solomona. Sheffield could argue Chisolm is an important player in the relegation battle which has a direct financial impact if they get relegated. So the cost could rise quickly if you haven't done things correctly.
Of course we have done things correctly. It's the Bulls. What could possibly go wrong....
But yeah, if Sheffield sacked him, I'm not sure what they have to complain about. If I got sacked from my job and then got a new one, I'm not sure why my old employers would give a ****.

Bongser sees a way to sort this out. It seems that:
a) Bradford think they've signed him but can't play him b) Sheffield say he's still theirs but don't want to play him c) Leigh are threadbare in almost all departments due to injury
Is there such a thing as reverse dual registration? Sheffield let him play for Leigh. Leigh release him when they're staffed again and all the nonsense is sorted.
Reading this thread over the last couple of days took Bongser back to the Admin monster thread of the close season. Hopefully the new management won't prove to be as inept as the last!
Good luck on Monday. Hope you break the surface then (even though that wii cost Bongser yet another point in the predictions league).

Whoa, hold yer horses right there. If we thought his contract had been terminated (e.g. if say his agent approached us and told us so) then we couldn't be guilty of inciting anything, now could we?
What Sheffield accuse us of is an illegal approach. Don't you think that's odd? We only just let him go 10 minutes ago! It doesn't make any sense at all that we would then approach him - it makes every sense if someone told us he was now available though.
Plus, whatever went down, we don't owe feck all, as unlike Solomona, he isn't with us yet. If they could prove he was still their player then they can simply presumably keep him.
I'd agree it is a careless mess to have got into though. Naive at best if we just took someone's word for it that Sheffield were letting him go.

So you have evidence that Toovey is committing a criminal offence of working in breach of visa conditions, and that the Bulls are guilty of aiding and abetting this?
No? Thought not.

If he isn't with you yet then why would you release a press statement saying he is? You are correct though, it all depends on the contracts, which none of us has seen I presume. So we will just have to wait and see.
