There will be much discussion about James Child's performance today, and I can't deny that he did have a massive impact on the game...however it is quite clear we are regressing back to bad old habits at an alarming rate.
The team didn't even turn up for 20mins, our tackling technique and defensive structure has gone completely out of the window in recent weeks, the team look demotivated last season they were high-fiving each other after big hits this year its back to hands on hips. Our error count is far too high to be a top 4 team.
Its also quite clear that we are far too reliant on Houghton & Ellis, when even one of these isn't on the field we play poorly never mind when both are absent as was the case for most of the game today.
Didn't want to start another 'Radford Out' thread but he has to come under some pressure, we've played well for 2/3's of one season during his time in charge, and he can't use not having time to build his own team, and having to sort the discipline out as excuses anymore.
Still a lot of the season to go, but sadly we are showing signs that yet again we aren't progressing after we've lifted a trophy. Must be very frustrating for Adam Pearson to yet again get a big crowd in, only to flop and put the 'casual' fans off attending again for while.

that was rubbish, big crowd and I really thought we would win before the match kicked off, even did when we pulled it back second half, but just seem to collapse, 2 big defeats on the bounce, big game against leigh and we really have to start defending again like we mean it, just not playing with the same energy as last year, Radford gotta start earning his corn, don't like blaming the coach as imo think there are all in it together, but hey ho at least the players have only 3 days to try to get this season back on track,
once a black and white always a black and white COYH

We are making too many basic errors in our own half. This puts pressure on the defence and takes gas out the tank. 3 times penalised when we had the ball today. Losing Bowden early not helpful. I don't think we're not trying or demotivated. Who is looking demotivated? Ellis, Manu, Kelly, Mini..? To me more we're suffering from poor basic ball retention and discipline which is creating fatigue.

We were very poor today but we were not the worst team on the park and I dont mean Leeds they deserved their victory. James Child should not be allowed to referee the game he is abysmal. Refereeing generally is ruining the game and has gone downhill particularly since Ganson took the reigns

It's like a perfect storm. We can't hold onto the ball giving the opposition too much possession, we're indisciplined so compound our errors with giving away penalties inviting teams into our half of the field and we can't defend our line making it easy for the opposition to score.
18 tries conceded in 2 games against 2 of last season's bottom 4 is simply unacceptable. radford needs to get a grip of things and quickly or we'll be in the bottom 4 come the split
